Thirty-three wines were highlighted at the retailer’s tasting this week as being “off the beaten track”. These included Torre del Falco Nero di Troia 2007 from Puglia, Mátra Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé 2009 from the Mátra region in Hungary and Domaine Félines Picpoul de Pinet 2009 from the Languedoc.
Pierpaolo Petrassi MW, the new beer, wine and spirits manager, told OLN: “People like us to be their eyes and ears to discover new things.
“I feel all the buyers should put something exciting in the range which can provide a bit of theatre. It’s exciting to discover new wines and I want to share that.”
